Friday, May 30th:  Dance Lovers of CNY dance at the KOC in Syracuse (8pm lesson in Nightclub 2-Step taught by yours truly)

Saturday, May 31st:  Buffalo WCS Mix Dance at the Elks Lodge in Tonawanda (6:30pm Introduction to WCS Whips with Scott & Veronica; 7pm Country 2-Step lesson with Maria; 7:45pm "Let It Whip" WCS Whip Variation lesson with Maria; open dancing from 8:30-11:30pm with Veronica & Maria are your DJs.

June 6-8:  SSDS Hustle & WCS Workshop Weekend with Mario Robau Jr. -- eleven classes for $80.00 - what a deal!  www.syrswingdance.org

New Classes Start this week!

Here's a quick summary of my classes that are starting this week:

Thursday, April 3rd at the Knights of Columbus on Taft Rd., N. Syracuse:  (and the following three Thursdays)

6:30pm-7:00pm - Country 2-Step level II (if you have dance experience in other dances - but no experience in Country 2-Step, you can still join this class)  $5 per person

7:00pm-7:30pm - WCS Styling for Leaders & Followers (Intermediate/Advanced WCS)  $5 per person

7:30pm-8:00pm - Hustle level III (if you know the basic timing and footwork of either 4-count hustle or 3-count hustle - you can join this class) $5 per person

Friday, April 4th at Celebrations Dance Center, N. Syracuse:  (and the following three Fridays)

6:30pm-7:30pm - Beginner East Coast Swing level I - no experience necessary to learn this fun dance also known as Jitterbug (please carry in clean, dry shoes to change into for class)

7:30pm-8:30pm - Beginner Samba level I - no experience necessary to learn this lively latin dance (please carry in clean, dry shoes to change into for class)

Beginner West Coast Swing 6-week series starts on Tuesday, April 29th - more information to be posted later!

Thursday, March 20th

All three of the 1/2-hour mini lessons are back on for tonight!

6:30pm - beginner Country 2-Step

7:00pm - WCS Styling

7:30pm - beginner Hustle level 2

Yours truly will be DJ'ing from 8:30pm-11pm at the SSDS Dance - playing brand new West Coast Swing & Hustle music, as well as your East Coast Swing & Lindy favorites.

CANCELLED - March 8th Buffalo WCS Dance

Due to the winter storm we are experiencing, tonight's WCS Dance at the Elks Lodge has been cancelled.

We are looking to reschule the dance when it won't conflict with the already existing WCS dances in Buffalo, Rochester & Syracuse areas.

6:30-7:00pm:  Introductory West Coast Swing with Scott & Veronica Stewart

7:00-7:45pm:  Country 2-Step lesson with Maria Cirino - "Cool Moves for Beginners"

7:45-8:30pm:  "Let It Whip", Fun West Coast Swing whip variations for everyone with Maria Cirino

Cost:  $10.00 per person for lesson & dance, $8.00 per person for dance only

Open dancing from 8:30-11:30pm to your favorite music for Swing, Hustle, Nightclub 2-Step, Cha Cha and Country 2-Step.

Directions:

From the East -- Take I-90 West towards Buffalo, go through tolls and take the very first exit (# 50) to merge onto I-290 West (towards Niagara Falls), exit at Delaware Ave North, follow Delaware Ave. across the canal and the Elks Lodge is the first building on the corner on your right (corner of Sweeney and Main St. - Delaware turns into Main once you go over the canal).

From the West -- Take I-190 North towards Niagara Falls, merge onto I-290 East, take Elmwood exit (exit # 1), keep left at the fork to go left on Knock Rd., go left on Delaware Ave, follow Delaware Ave across the canal and the Elks Lodge is the first building on the corner on your right (corner of Sweeney and Main St. - Delaware turns into Main once you go over the canal).

Parking:  Make a right onto Sweeney and left into the parking lot directly behind the Elks building.  Overflow parking is in the parking lot next to the Elks parking lot on Sweeney.
