Thursday WCS classes + Friday WCS classes & dance

Price Break on Thursday's Classes with Maria & Felix‏ - July 2nd

SSDS has asked if Felix and I wanted to teach a couple classes before this Thursday's SSDS dance at St. Clare's Theater.  We've jumped at the opportunity so that we could share what we've learned from taking private lessons & workshops at national events, with you at home in Syracuse.
 
6:30-7:30pm - West Coast Swing Fancy Footwork for Leaders & Followers
(all levels) - anchor variations, syncopations, slides, rondes & more

7:30-8:30pm - Felix & Maria's Favorite Social WCS Moves (all levels) - learn some of our favorite West Coast Swing moves & the styling we create within them
 
Pricing:
$10 each or $16 for both
 
Each class is 60 minutes in length and we bring you knowledge from two instructors to help you learn the movement, technique, timing, lead & follow.
 
No pre-registration is required and bring your video camera to tape the recap at the end of each class. 
 
We look forward to teaching you new variations, moves & concepts to make you a West Coast Swing ROCK STAR!!!

Celebrate the 4th of July with us as we continue our ongoing weekly lessons at Fusion in North Syracuse.

6-7pm - Intermediate West Coast Swing lesson

7-8pm - Beginner West Coast Swing lesson

8-10pm - Open dancing to the best WCS music in town with Maria as your DJ

Pricing:

$10 includes both lesson & the dance

$3 dance only

Please note that next Friday (7/10) is the Dance Lovers of CNY dance and therefore there is no dance at Fusion that night.

West Coast Swing level IV (4) - 8:00-9:00pm at Tawn Marie's Dance Centre

 - we will be working on patterns with alternating triples tonight as well as more anchor variations for leaders and followers.

Thursday, 2/5/09

West Coast Swing APT (Advanced Patterns & Techniques) - 6:30-7:30pm at Celebrations Dance Center

- we will be working on Funky Footwork for leaders and followers - a "must have for those funky songs that you luv so much", as well as two majorly cool moves

Friday, 2/6/09 - ROADTRIP!!  We're going to Rochester to Antoinette's Dance leaving Syracuse around 6pm.  Let me know if you're interested in riding or driving (we'll form a caravan!).

Saturday, 2/7/09 - ROADTRIP AGAIN!!  We're going to Buffalo to run the Buffalo WCS Dance in the ultra cool Amherst Community Church - this hall is to die for!!!  Felix and I will be teaching two WCS Classes (7:30-8:30) and then dancing til 11:30pm.  For all of you coming from Syracuse - we will give you half price admission at the dance.  Hope you can join us!!

Ahhh, the most wonderful time of the year is upon us - the Holiday season!

Instead of boring you with my sentimental thoughts, I will just list the Holiday Parties (and non-Holiday parties for your grinches out there) so you can get your dancin' on!!

Thursday, Dec. 11th - Annual SSDS Holiday Party 6-11pm - Pay $5 or bring a dish to pass (no lessons this evening)

Friday, Dec. 12th - monthly Dance Lovers of CNY Dance 8pm-1am - Beginner/Intermediate West Coast Swing lesson with Steve Ryan + a performance by Steve and his lovely partner Anna Reguero; lesson from 8-9pm; dancing from 9pm-1am; $8 per person or $5 with high school/college student ID.

Saturday, Dec. 13th - Andie's Holiday WCS Dance at the Tango Cafe in Rochester; 389 Gregory St., Rochester, NY; Beginner/Novice hustle lesson 7:30pm; Intermediate hustle lesson 8:00pm; Dance 8:30-11:30pm; Amazing wood floor, snacks, door prizes; feel free to bring your own refreshments and music, and request music; lesson and dance $8, students with ID $5
